Notes

Our wallpapers are produced by one of the leading wallpaper manufacturers in the UK. Their papers are of premium quality and their printing techniques are of the highest standards.

Papers differ of course, but the majority supplied have an EU Fire Rating: B-s1,d0 and and emissions rating: A+.

All the relevant details will be on the the label.

Care

Each wallpaper comes with their own care and hanging instructions on their label.

The majority of our wallpapers are'Washable';of which dirt and some domestic water based stains could be carefully cleaned from the front face with a wet clean cloth and soapy water.

However, please pay close attention to the label that comes with your order to avoid problems.

  • Spongeable

    Adhesive may be wiped off the face of the wallcovering with a damp clean cloth or sponge at the time of hanging without causing visible damage, providing this is done whilst the adhesive is still damp.
  • Washable

    A hung wallcovering from which dirt and some domestic water based stains could be carefully cleaned from the front face with a wet clean cloth and soapy water.
  • Extra Washable

    A hung wallcovering from which dirt and some domestic water based staines could be carefully cleaned from the front face with a wet clean cloth and soapy water.
  • Scrubbable

    A hung wallcovering with superior cleanability from which dirt and some domestic water based stains could be carefully cleaned from the front face with a clean sponge or soft brush and a mild detergent.
  • Moderate Colour To Light Fastness

    Would have a minimum rating of 3 when tested in accordance with the EN233 lightfast testing procedure.
  • Good Colour To Light Fastness

    Would have a minimum rating of 5 when tested in accordance with the EN233 lightfast testing procedure.
  • Paste-The-Paper Application

    The paste should be applied to the reverse of the wallcovering.
  • Paste-The-Wall Application

    The paste should be applied to the wall.
  • Pre-Pasted Application

    The wallcovering already has a thin, dry layer of adhesive on the reverse of the paper.
    The adhesive would need activating, at the point of hanging by submerging the wallcovering into a water trough.
  • Strippable

    Large strips of wallcovering can be manually removed, whilst dry, by pulling.
    Completely removing it from the wall.
  • Peelable

    The printed face of a wallcovering can be manually removed, whilst dry, either as whole or in at least large pieces.
  • Wet Removable

    The adhesive behind the wallcovering would need to be reactivated to remove the wallcovering.
    Either by wetting, steaming or the use of a stripping agent.
  • Straight Match

    The pattern matches straight across the width.
  • Offset Match

    Sometimes called 'Half Drop', the match is obtained by halving the repeat.
  • Free Match

    No matching is required; lengths can be cut from the roll without wastage.
  • Reverse Alternate Length

    Usually applicable to plain effect wallcoverings to minimise the risk of side to side shading.

    Every other length is turned upside down when applied.
